Translation Central specializes in the translation of documents and web sites, as well as foreign language research. Founded in 2004, the company works with thousands of qualified and experienced native speaking translators, and is therefore able to carry out translations in a very wide variety of languages
All of our translation jobs are handled by professional translators who are native speakers of the target language, working remotely living in their own countries, with the administration carried out from the UK or USA headquarters. This allows us to keep running costs low (which is why Translation Central offers such great value), and also ensures our translators keep their native language skills sharp. Through working closely and forming teams with our translators, we are able to get the best out of them.

About our team
Alexis Sheldon, BA (Cantab), MA, Cert. TEFL
Managing Director
Alexis is a Cambridge University graduate (BA in Social & Political Sciences) and a qualified English teacher who has taught in various countries. He also has an MA in Tourism Management and Marketing from Brighton University and has his own separate internet marketing and communications company and a corporate language training business.
While in Russia, Alexis was the staff translator (Russian into English) for a number of magazines on subjects as diverse as economics, politics, travel, business, lifestyle and news features. As editor of the leading lifestyle magazine in Ukraine, one of his responsibilities included managing a team of Ukrainian translators - paying careful attention to deadlines, word count, accuracy and cultural relevance. Alexis also worked as a freelance interpreter (English-Russian) on many occasions.

Leandro is an English to Spanish Public Translator, who graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina.
Leandro has advanced studies in English from the Chichester College of Arts, Science and Technology, in West Sussex, England, and is certified for TOEFL and CPE (Cambridge). While in England, he attended several Marketing and Business courses and seminars.
Leandro has worked as a freelance translator - experienced in legal, marketing, and technical translations - and as a Coordinator and Customer Representative for various multinational companies, where he worked closely with clients and service providers. He is a Spanish native speaker and speaks English at a bilingual level, as well as Portuguese. Leandro joined Translation Central in August, 2010 and works closely with the CEO, translators and clients. His main function is to manage, organize, assign and supervise translation projects and answer all the questions from our clients and translators.
